Change my ram from 4gb to 8gb

I have a 64 bit laptop that i would like to upgrade to 8gb of ram.
The ram i have are 2 x 2gb and are DDR3 and this is the lable on the Ram 2GB 2RX8 PC3 8500S-7-10-F1. Can i use any ram that is DDR3 or do i have to keep to the same speed, i.e 8500S-7-10-F1

Actually the higher is the speed the better. You can use in there any DDR3 RAM for a laptop just make sure the two new modules are the same in case you using two sticks.

I suspect you want to upgrade to 4GB of RAM. Yes, I think it can take it. Also I would definitely upgrade from Vista to Windows 7. This would make a huge difference.
